Hooked On Drums/QCDC/LISC Summer 2008 Youth African Drumming Classes

This QCDC/LISC funded class is ONLY for youth ages 10-14 who live in the North Kenwood, Oakland, Douglas and Grand Boulevard neighborhoods.

Cost: $25 for the entire 8 weeks! (A $300 value provided in scholarships from QCDC/LISC.)

Group 1: Mondays & Tuesdays 10 am—Noon
Group 2: Mondays & Tuesdays 1—3 pm
Dates: June 16—August 5, 2008

Classes held at the Hooked on Drums Studio in Kennicott Park, 4434 S. Lake Park

Youth will learn how to play traditional African drum music from Guinea, West Africa, on real, hand-crafted African instruments. It’s involving, exciting and fun! And they may be selected to perform at the Bud Billiken Parade on August 9!

We can arrange free transportation to and from the Studio for kids who are beyond walking distance. Contact us for details.
